The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for the coordination of all Supply Chain planning and logistics activities for the Amsterdam site. The activities include inventory management, material master data and material requirement planning. The Supply Chain specialist will be part of a team of 6 people based in Amsterdam, reporting to the Associate Director Supply Chain. This role requires the ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative and cooperative working relationships with team members across different functions and at different levels within the organisation. The position requires enthusiasm, passion, influence, attention to detail.

  • Coordinate assigned Supply Chain planning and logistics activities of the Amsterdam Site.
  • Monitor and analyse Supply Chain metrics (including demand, inventory, supply)) on the various customers in the supply chain, identify actions to meet demands of various customers
  • Be one of the key interfaces from Supply Chain to Site Manufacturing and Process Development, Research and Development, CMC, communicating about materials availability, disposition status.
  • Work with CMC in planning materials for development portfolio and arrange raw materials
  • Coordinate with other team members and stakeholders on GMP and non-GMP shipments collaboratively across the testing and partner sites to ensure that shipment requests are timely coordinated for both clinical and commercial products.
  • Facilitate the daily interdepartmental meetings to align the schedules and availability of materials
  • Partner with Supply Chain colleagues in Amsterdam and Lexington sites and in global supply chain roles in ensuring reliable and efficient availability of global supplies
  • Perform scenario planning based on materials availability to suit evolving demand and supply statuses
  • Be part of tech transfers, and operational readiness teams to implement a new product/process
  • Define and analyse key performance metrics and trends to enable improvements in materials availability, de-risking, capacity and other processes.
  • Motivated and flexible to take on assigned related responsibilities outside of those listed with a learning and growth mindset.
  • Contribute to the migration project to a new ERP system

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering, Business, Economics, Sciences, or equivalent in related specific experience
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in the biotech, pharmaceutical, or medical device industry, in supply chain
  • Experience in clinical/commercial stage GMP environments in supply chain, with a Quality mindset and comfort and expertise in GMP expectations in supply chain and manufacturing.
  • Experience working closely with Manufacturing, Project Management, functional team leaders and clinical teams, and adaptable to needs of organisation and platforms.
  • Excellent MS Office skills, and advanced analytical skills, with attention to detail
  • Experience with industry standard processes and enterprise and requirements planning systems build around robust processes
  • Additional specific qualifications in the area of supplies demand and logistics/ or planning management including and APICs, CPIM, and related professional certifications preferred.
  • Knowledge or Training and experiences with LEAN / Continuous Improvement methodologies
