Who We Are:
We are driven by a passion to design and manufacture the highest quality grid-scale power converters available. Rooted in this passion, we provide our customers with inverters and DC/DC converters from 100 kW to 6 MW. EPCs products are designed in-house and manufactured in the USA. Power electronics are the core technology behind decarbonization. With major growth sectors such as renewable energy, energy storage, and electric vehicle charging, EPC is growing fast.
EPC is headquartered in Poway, CA, a community in Northern San Diego County, with additional manufacturing facilities in Greenville, SC and additional design offices in Helsinki, Finland and Eastern USA.

The Role:
As a Service Engineer or a Senior Service Engineer you get to work with a highly skilled team of service engineers and R&D engineers. You will be able to travel around the world to different customer sites to do and supervise commissioning activities. When you are not traveling, there is a possibility to work remotely. You would also be taking responsibility for organizing occasional customer training sessions in our training center. You will be making a major impact on the world by helping to implement state-of-the-art battery storage inverters which will help bring stability to the power grids in order to enable the high penetration of renewable energy.
Responsibilities:
- Commissioning large energy storage projects around the world.
- Review customer designs for energy storage systems.
- Provide remote support for installed fleet.
- Document daily service actions.
- Maintains courteous, and knowledgeable communication with customers.
- Leading customer training courses in our training center.
- Travel up to 75% but typically only 30%.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or similar.
- Some experience in service and commissioning
- More than 5 years of experience for senior position.
- Experience with high power systems.
- Interested in power electronics.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well within a team and clearly communicate technical progress and challenges.
