HRIS Test Lead [Netherlands]

We're looking for an HRIS Test Lead to join a team in Amsterdam. This can either be on a fixed-term contract or day rate, whatever works for you.

As the Test Lead, you'll have a crucial role in overseeing the change requests for the HR systems: HRIS, Payroll and HR support requests. You'll work closely with different teams across the business, helping them collaborate with other business units and centralised functions. If you have experience with automated testing even better as this needs to be implemented at some point in the near future.


In short: establishing testing process, governance and standards as well as overseeing the planning, execution, and evaluation of all testing activities within the People systems team managing all projects/BAU change enhancements. You will work closely with product managers, HR COEs, application & integration specialists and project managers to ensure the delivery of product releases.


We're seeking someone with extensive HRIS/HCM test experience and excellent collaboration skills across all levels of stakeholders. This role has a Global remit, you will need to speak and write excellent English. This is a Hybrid role with a blend of working from home and from the Amsterdam office or remotely in Europe if need be.


Here's your profile:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive testing process, governance and standards for the People (HR) systems.
  • Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality delivery of managing all projects/BAU changes releases.
  • Define and establish acceptance criteria, KPIs, SLAs, testing methodologies, and best practices.
  • Manage the end-to-end testing staging gates from acceptance criteria sign-off, Unit testing, SIT, and UAT for managing all projects/BAU changes releases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, functional specialists, integration specialists, and HR COEs to drive testing.
  • Identify and prioritise testing needs based on project requirements, risks, and business objectives.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and provide recommendations for resolving defects and issues during the testing phase.
  • Monitor and report on testing progress, including defect tracking, test coverage, and overall product quality.
  • Hands-on testing knowledge for people systems including Workday, ServiceNow, SAP HR and other Best of Breed technologies is essential.
  • Solid understanding of leveraging automated testing within people systems for managing product release, BAU change/enhancement, project & security testing.
  • Manage and lead a team of testers, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure high-quality work.
  • Drive continuous process improvements to optimize testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors involved in testing activities.
  • This is a preferably hybrid role, but if you are the one then being in Europe might work as well.
